Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart (Hridayam) has been released and is receiving a lot of love from the audience. The movie features Siddharth Gupta and Sanskruti Jayana as Krishna and Satyabhama, respectively, in a grand mythological epic. Ahead of the movie’s release, both lead actors of the film visited Vrindavan and met spiritual orator Premanand Maharaj, and now, in an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha, they called his presence divine.
Speaking to us, Siddharth Gupta called his meeting with the spiritual guru pure destiny and shared, “I think everything happens for a reason. As it is written in the Bhagavad Gita, we can’t plan things. Even with our movie, the way we are getting the love, I think it was destiny. It was also destiny that I had
to go and meet Premanand Maharaj. It was my mother’s dream that the day I signed Krishnavtaram, I should go and meet Premanand Maharaj, and I said, ‘How?’ But it happened on such a beautiful day when our premiere took place.”
He further continued and added, “When you are in his presence, there is another level of glow; the energy level changes. I was extremely sleep deprived, but the minute I entered the room, it all went away. I couldn’t stop smiling. It felt very godly and divine in his presence.”
Meanwhile, Sanskruti Jayana, who visited Vrindayan before Siddharth, shared that she couldn’t stop crying the minute the spiritual leader entered the room. Recalling visiting him in Vrindavan, Sanskruti Jayana added, “It was beautiful. I couldn’t stop crying the minute he entered the room. His energy is so pure that it changes everything around. Of course, we have heard him a lot, but when you are in his presence, it is something else.”
About Krishnavataram
Directed by Hardik Gajjar, the film focuses less on war and spectacle and more on emotions, relationships, and Krishna as a person. Instead of turning him into an untouchable divine figure, the film shows him as compassionate, loving, and emotionally aware.
News18 Showsha gave a 3-star rating to the film. A part of the review read, “The movie is visually rich, emotionally sincere, and refreshingly focused on love, devotion, and inner conflict rather than just grandeur. If the subsequent parts build on this emotional foundation while improving the technical aspects, this franchise could genuinely become something special.”
