Nanded, Sept 2 (PTI) Police have exposed a prostitution racket allegedly operating under the guise of a wellness spa in Nanded and rescued seven women, besides arresting three persons, officials said on Wednesday.
The alleged illegal activity was being run in the Phule Market area, they said.
Acting on a tip-off, police raided the premises and rescued seven women, reportedly from Delhi, Thane, Pune and Nepal. Three accused were arrested during the operation, while the spa owner allegedly escaped, police said.
The arrested persons have been identified as Assam residents Hifzur Rehman Aarif Uddin (20), Rahaj Uddin Rafiq Uddin (20) and Yahiyaa Ahmed Abdul Wahid (19).
Police said efforts were underway to trace the absconding spa owner, Santosh Baghe.
