Legendary West Indies all-rounder Deandra Dottin entered her name in an unwanted list on Monday (January 12) by bowling the joint-most expensive over in Womenโs Premier League (WPL) history. The 34-year-old cricketer from Barbados bowled the sixth over for Gujarat Giants in match No. 5 of the WPL 2026 played at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai against Royal Challengers Bengaluru but got smacked for three fours and three sixes by former UP Warriorz all-rounder Grace Harris.
Harris, who needed just 22 balls on Monday to complete her half-century, scored a four on the first ball of the sixth over of RCBโs innings, but it turned out to be a no ball. On the free hit, Harris hammered a six and then scored a four on the second legitimate ball of the over.
On the next two deliveries she smacked two more maximums. Deandra then bowled a wide ball, and on the fifth ball once again, Harris scored a four. Deandra conceded 32 runs in the first five legitimate balls of the over but bowled a dot ball on the last delivery to save herself from the embarrassment of conceding 33 runs in one over of a WPL match.
