Pakistan’s opener Sahibzada Farhan entered his name in the history books on Sunday, September 28, by becoming the first batter in the world to hit three sixes off Jasprit Bumrah’s bowling in men’s T20Is
. Farhan, who is Pakistan’s highest run-getter in the ongoing Asia Cup 2025, scored two sixes off Bumrah’s bowling in the India-Pakistan Asia Cup 2025 Group A match on September 14, and in the Asia Cup 2025 final, he smashed one maximum against Bumrah.On the third ball of the fourth over of Pakistan’s innings, Farhan scored a six off Bumrah’s bowling.
A total of five batters – Elton Chigumbura (Zimbabwe), Cameron Green (Australia), Martin Guptill (New Zealand), Kieron Pollard (West Indies) and Lendl Simmons (West Indies) – have scored two sixes
off Bumrah’s bowling in T20Is.

Farhan scored 57 runs from 38 balls for Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 final and during his stay at the crease hammered 5 fours and 3 sixes. He added 84 runs in 9.4 overs for the first wicket with Fakhar Zaman.
Farhan was sent back to the pavilion by Varun Chakaravarthy. In an attempt to hit a big six, he was caught by Tilak Varma near the boundary ropes.
Sahibzada needed 35 balls on Sunday to complete his 50 in the Asia Cup 2025 final. He is the second Pakistani and overall fourth batter to cross the 50-run mark in the final of Asia Cup T20Is.

No Hardik for India
Hardik Pandya is not playing for India in the Asia Cup 2025 final. The 31-year-old all-rounder from Baroda was not picked in the playing XI due to an injury. According to India captain Suryakumar Yadav, he missed out due to a niggle. He has been replaced in the playing XI by Rinku Singh.
