Jammu and Kashmir pacer Auqib Nabi made his much-awaited international debut on Wednesday, when he was handed his India cap by KL Rahul ahead of the second ODI against West Indies at the Assam Cricket Association Stadium in Guwahati.
A swing bowler renowned for his brilliant line and length and ability to move the ball both ways, Nabi became a household name after two outstanding Ranji Trophy seasons, claiming 104 wickets across the 2024-25 and 2025-26 campaigns.
The second season proved significant, with Nabi finishing as the tournament’s leading wicket-taker after claiming 60 wickets in 17 innings at 12.65, helping Jammu and Kashmir bag their maiden Ranji Trophy title.
