Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film ‘Single Salma’ and the makers have finally dropped the hilarious trailer of this comedy drama about India’s wedding obsession. The film, which also stars Shreyas Talpade and Sunny Singh, turns pressure of wedding into a pure chaos. Directed by Nachiket Samant, the trailer of Single Salma introduces audiences to a 33-year-old Salma Rizvi (Huma Qureshi) who is finally wanting to settle down into a arrange marriage setup with Sikandar (Shreyas Talpade), but life throws her into an unexpected love in London with Meet (Sunny Singh).
The trailer opens with a narrator saying that in India, regardless of career success, society views marriage as the ultimate achievement.
Huma’s character shares that her arranged marriage is set with Sikandar in Lucknow, but her heart finds unexpected love with Meet in London. What follows is a laugh out clash of two cities, two cultures, two baraatis culminating in one unforgettable wedding night.

In other news, Huma Qureshi’s latest movie, Bayaan, had its world premiere at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival on September 6. The actress, who founded a production company with her brother Saqib Saleem, said that the experience at TIFF has made her more modest.
Meanwhile, Huma will also be seen next in ‘Baby Do Die Do’. The neo-noir comedy film marks the maiden project under her and Saqib Saleem’s production house, Saleem Siblings. The teaser of Baby Do Die Do was unveiled in July, and gave a glimpse of Huma as Baby Karmarkar — touted as the first desi female assassin.
