The Indian women’s cricket team will face arch-rivals Pakistan in their opening match of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. The high-voltage clash between the two Asian rivals is scheduled to take place at Edgbaston in Birmingham on Sunday (June 14).
In the much-anticipated fixture, which is set to begin at 7:00 PM IST, India captain Harmanpreet Kaur will have the opportunity to create history.
If the right-handed batter from Moga scores at least one run against Pakistan, she will surpass Mithali Raj’s tally of 726 runs and become India’s highest run-scorer in Women’s T20 World Cup history.
At present, both Mithali and Harmanpreet have scored 726 runs in the tournament.
