Nicole Kidman has officially ticked off the last continent on her list. Antarctica. And she did it the way she prefers most these days – quietly, bundled up, and surrounded by her daughters. The actor,
58, shared a series of photos on Instagram on January 21, giving followers a glimpse into what she called a once-in-a-lifetime family trip.
The images show Kidman travelling with daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15, against the stark white backdrop of the frozen continent. “Thank you for taking me to my 7th continent! Once in a lifetime adventure with family and friends,” she wrote.
A Family Moment Far From The Spotlight
In one frame, Kidman and the girls stand side by side in matching red-and-black snow suits, dark sunglasses shielding them from the glare. In another, the Oscar winner poses alone on a boat, wearing a white puffer jacket and black pants, a glacier stretching behind her. There’s also a quieter moment onboard, Kidman curled up with a book, the kind of stillness Antarctica demands.
It’s not the sort of trip built for red carpets or premieres. That seems intentional. The photos feel personal. Low-key. Almost private, despite being shared publicly.
‘She Loves Family Time’
The timing of the trip has drawn attention. It comes weeks after People cited a source saying, “Nicole spends a lot of time with her girls. She loves family time.” The source added that the actress had spent the holidays in Australia before returning to Nashville with her daughters.
“She is refreshed and optimistic about the new year. They’re all settling back in to their routine. Things have been calm,” the source said. Another line stood out: “She’s looking ahead to a busy and exciting year professionally too, with several projects coming up.”
Divorce Details Finalised
Behind the scenes, Kidman has been closing another chapter. She recently finalised her divorce from Keith Urban after reaching a settlement. Court documents filed on January 6 show that both Kidman and Urban agreed to waive all child and spousal support. Each will also cover their own legal fees. The two got married in 2006.
The split moved quickly. The agreement was finalised roughly three months after Kidman filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. The former couple share two daughters, Sunday and Faith.
As part of their parenting plan, both parents are required to “behave with each other and each child so as to provide a loving, stable, consistent and nurturing relationship with the child even though they are divorced.”
