Twisha Sharma Movie: Twisha Sharma was found dead at her marital residence on May 12, sparking a police investigation and serious allegations from her family. The actress’ parents have accused her husband Samarth Singh and mother-in-law Giribala Singh of mental harassment and dowry-related abuse. Twisha, a former Miss Pune, had worked in films before moving into the corporate sector. Police have now formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT), while her husband is reportedly absconding.
Twisha Sharma’s acting career and films Before moving into the corporate world, Twisha Sharma had worked in films and beauty pageants. She was known as a former Miss Pune and starred in a few acting projects during her short film career. Her final film appearance
was in the Telugu comedy thriller Mugguru Monagallu in 2021. The film starred Deekshit Shetty, Srinivasa Reddy and Vennela Rama Rao. It is currently available for streaming on Prime Video. Twisha had earlier made her acting debut with Zara Sambhal Kay in 2018. However, the film is not currently streaming on major OTT platforms. After Mugguru Monagallu, she stepped away from films and later worked as a Marketing Manager in the restaurant sector. Bhopal Dowry Case: Twisha Sharma was found dead 5 months after marriage According to reports, Twisha was found hanging at her husband Samarth Singh’s residence in the Katara Hills area of Bhopal. The couple had married in December 2025, just five months before her death. ANI reported that Twisha’s family accused her in-laws of subjecting her to ongoing mental distress and dowry harassment after marriage. A case has been registered against Samarth and his mother Giribala Singh, who is a retired judge. Authorities have also announced a reward of Rs 10,000 for information leading to Samarth’s arrest, as he is currently said to be evading police investigation. Meanwhile, Giribala Singh has reportedly been granted anticipatory bail. The lawyer representing Twisha’s family, Anurag Srivastav, reportedly argued that the bail plea should not have been accepted due to legal presumptions linked to unnatural deaths within seven years of marriage. In-laws make shocking claims during investigation During the ongoing investigation, Twisha’s in-laws reportedly alleged that she struggled with substance-related issues and was receiving psychiatric treatment. No official conclusion has yet been announced in the case, and the investigation is still underway.
