Shah Rukh Khan Jokes About Not Getting Office In His Own Dubai Tower: 'Mujhe Bhi Nahi Milega?'

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan drew massive crowds as he launched the highly anticipated Shahrukhz commercial tower in Dubai, a project named in his honour. The glitzy event, held at Expo City, saw

over 6,500 people in attendance as Dubai-based Indian billionaire and Danube Group founder Rizwan Sajan unveiled the 55-storey development.

Sajan revealed that the premium commercial tower on Sheikh Zayed Road, spanning more than 1 million sq ft, has already been sold out. With 488 units priced from AED 2 million and a project valuation of AED 2.1 billion (over ₹5,000 crore), the tower has seen overwhelming demand.

SRK’s Light-Hearted Banter Steals the Show

During the unveiling of the tower’s miniature model, Sajan proudly announced that Shahrukhz by Danube is sold out. This prompted a playful reaction from Shah Rukh Khan, who left the audience laughing with his quick wit.
He remarked, “I’m sorry Rizwan bhai, I don’t understand the business of selling and buying… mujhe toh lag raha tha main yahan par aaonga launch karunga… aur phir main aapse ek-do office khareedunga. Mujhe bhi office nahi milega?”
Sajan responded with a teasing, “Filhaal toh everything is sold out unless and until…”

SRK instantly added, “Yeh toh kamaal ho gaya hai… apni hi building mein hum hi ko lene mein takleef ho rahi hai.”
The fun exchange became one of the night’s highlights, reflecting Khan’s signature charm and his close rapport with the Dubai-based business community.

A Second Tower in the Pipeline

Rizwan Sajan also hinted that this is just the beginning. “Picture abhi baaki hai mere dost,” he said, teasing a second tower—also named after Shah Rukh Khan—which is already being planned. The Danube Group further aims to expand the brand globally, with similar ‘Shahrukhz’ towers proposed for New York, London, Delhi and Mumbai.

Shah Rukh Khan expressed gratitude for the honour, saying, “To see a project of this scale in Dubai carry my name is both an honour and a reminder of how generosity and vision can come together… Dubai has always embraced me with warmth.”

The event also featured Farah Khan and a special dance performance by Malaika Arora to Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic hits.
