MTV Splitsvilla Returns With Season 16: Premiere Date, Format, Streaming Details

MTV Splitsvilla is all set to return with yet another entertaining season this year. Following the success of Season 15, the widely popular dating reality TV show will premiere Season 16 on January 9.

Taking to Instagram, the makers dropped updates on the highly anticipated season along with a teaser video.

When and Where to Watch Splitsvilla X6?

Set against the magical coastal backdrop of Mahabalipuram in Tamil Nadu, MTV Splitsvilla will feature 32 contestants who will compete with each other in a quest to find love or money. Splitsvilla X6 will air every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 7 PM on MTV. Fans can also stream the episodes on JioHotstar.

What Do We Know About Splitsvilla X6?

This upcoming season introduces a brand new format, dividing

contestants into two groups – the Pyaar Villa and the Paisa Villa. The first promo shows the season’s hosts, Karan Kundrra and Sunny Leone, playing poker on the beach.

The clip soon brought the season’s central theme – love or money – to the fore. The clip featured a voiceover stating, “Iss game mein yah toh dil milega ya deal. The choice is yours.”

The newest promo of the much-awaited series further shared a glimpse into the villa, promising heightened drama, bold twists, and fresh romantic connections.

Splitsvilla X6 Contestants

Although the makers have not officially released the full list of Splitsvilla X6 contestants yet, several names are already doing the rounds online. Media reports suggest that Kushal Tanwar and Shubhangi Jaiswal are confirmed participants, while other rumoured contestants include Yogesh Rawat, Simran Behl, Himanshu Arora, Devanshi Doshi and Anushka Ghosh, among others.

The upcoming season will witness Sunny Leone’s return as the ‘Queen of Hearts’, while Karan Kundrra will join her as the ‘King of Hearts’. Adding problems to the paradise, this season will feature not one but two mischief makers – Nia Sharma and Uorfi Javed.

Fans are excited to see Uorfi Javed’s return to the role as the unpredictable disruptor. On the other hand, Nia Sharma makes her debut in the villa, promising unexpected interventions.

With the brand-new format and Pyaar Ya Paisa theme, contestants are in for a rollercoaster ride which will test their love, loyalty, strategy, and emotional resilience.
