An Indian techie’s post advocating the merits of job hustle past midnight hours polarised people on social media this Saturday, November 15. Kartikey Verma, employed at developer shipping in a tech company, shared a photograph of himself, busy at work as early as 2 AM. In his post shared on X, Verma seemed to promote the benefits of working at pre-dawn time.
“There’s something about 2-6 am. The world sleeps, distractions die, and the work finally breathes,” Verma wrote in a caption to his post, containing a black and white image of him busy operating on his laptop and tech system.
Techie Promotes Pre-Dawn Time Hustle
Completely breaking from the norm of working for extensive hours from morning to evening and taking a good night’s sleep before resuming,
Verma backed the advantages of working between 2 AM and 6 AM in his post. The techie insisted it was this time of the day that best allowed him to focus on his tasks without facing any distractions as the rest of the world went to sleep.

Verma, whose LinkedIn profile confirmed he worked with Warmwind OS, is currently the founding engineer of Sendit Zone. His post promoting a work hustle at unusual hours past midnight divided users on social media.
‘Don’t Romanticise Sleep Deprivation’
Various social media users criticised the techie for promoting an unhealthy obsession with work at the cost of sleep and compromising on one’s lifestyle.
“This is giving main character syndrome but also lowkey relatable ngl, late night productivity hits different but don’t romanticise sleep deprivation,” wrote an individual.
To which Verma replied: “I agree, sleep is very important and I always try to get an ample amount of sleep.”
Someone else said, “Trust me, I tried this for one week. I completely ruined my mental and physical health. Sleep at night and work in the morning and evening. That’s what has worked for me.”
“I also excel in the late nights, total silence and real clear thinking,” a rare user supported Verma in the debate.
Someone mentioned, “This is a lie. I have proof.”
At a time when medical experts are raising an alert against sleep deprivation and relentless work, Verma’s post did raise eyebrows for promoting a pre-dawn work stint and focusing purely on professional goals.
