Indian Army Agniveer Recruitment 2026: The Indian Army is set to begin the online application process for Agniveer Recruitment 2026 from February 3, 2026. The registration was earlier scheduled to start
on February 1, but has been postponed by two days. The Army announced the revised date through a notice issued on its official website, joinindianarmy.nic.in.
Young candidates aspiring to join the Indian Army as soldiers can apply online once the registration window opens. Under this recruitment drive, vacancies will be filled for Agniveer General Duty (GD), Technical, Clerk/Storekeeper Technical, Tradesman, Soldier Pharma, Soldier Technical Nursing Assistant, and Women Military Police posts. Candidates will be allowed to apply for two posts through a single application form.
Educational Qualification
For Agniveer General Duty, candidates must have passed Class 10 with at least 45 per cent marks, with a minimum of 33 per cent in each subject. Applicants holding a Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving licence will be given preference for driver-related roles.
For Agniveer Technical, candidates must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, securing at least 50 per cent marks overall and 40 per cent in each subject.
For Agniveer Clerk/Storekeeper Technical, candidates must have passed Class 12 in any stream with 60 per cent marks, with a minimum of 50 per cent in each subject. A typing test will also be conducted for these posts.
For Agniveer Tradesman, candidates who are Class 10 pass must have secured 33 per cent marks. For Class 8 pass candidates, 33 per cent marks in Class 8 are required.
For Women Military Police, candidates must have passed Class 10 with 45 per cent marks, with at least 33 per cent in each subject.
Age Limit
Candidates applying for Agniveer Bharti 2026 must be between 17½ years and 21 years of age.
Physical Standards
For Agniveer GD, Technical and Tradesman posts, the minimum height requirement is 170 cm, with a chest measurement of 77 cm, expandable to 82 cm. In some states, the minimum height requirement is 169 cm, 165 cm or 163 cm, as specified in the notification.
For Agniveer Clerk and Storekeeper, the minimum height required is 162 cm, with a chest measurement of 77 cm, expandable to 82 cm.
