While Alia Bhatt is all set to play a fierce spy in her upcoming film, Alpha, she recently revealed that things are very different off-screen. Opening up about her life at home, the actress shared that she isn’t the family’s real “Alpha.” She also joked that her husband, Ranbir Kapoor, doesn’t quite live up to his on-screen Animal persona in their household either.
During her appearance on YouTuber MyMissAnand’s channel, Alia Bhatt, who is busy promoting her film, was quizzed about whether she was the real “Alpha” at home while Ranbir Kapoor was the family’s “Animal”, a cheeky reference to her upcoming spy thriller and her husband’s blockbuster with Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The discussion soon shifted to who truly runs the household, giving Alia the perfect
opportunity to reveal who, according to her, is the real boss of the family. Who is the actual ‘Alpha-Animal’ at home? Without missing a beat, Alia replied, “Raha!”
Alia revealed that the real boss of the Kapoor household is their three-year-old daughter, Raha. She shared that while Raha believes her mother is “cool,” it’s actually the little one who makes all the decisions at home. Alia also recounted an adorable moment when Raha reacted to seeing her dressed in pyjamas around the house. She said, “Raha is the actual Animal and Alpha at home. She is the Gen Alpha. I receive a lot of compliments from her. And I love that… One day, I decided to wear jeans and sit at home. She asked, ‘Where are you going?’ I said I can’t sit in nightclothes at home. She said ‘No, you don’t sit like this.'”
Alia and Ranbir often talk about their munchkin at events or in interviews. Recently, at News18 India’s event in Delhi, Alia called her daughter a “leader and a thinker.” She said, “She is also meant for the stage, if I can say so myself. She loves many things, I would say. Abhi woh sports mein bhi bahut interested hai. She has a keen interest in sports and activities. Woh filmy bhi bahut hai, gaane bhi achhe se sunti hai. She wants to dance. She picks up steps very fast. So my little girl is still growing and observing and putting her hand into different things, whether it’s art, dance or sports. But she’s a leader and a thinker in her own way.”
Meanwhile, Alia’s film Alpha also stars Sharvari, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol in important roles. The film will also feature a special cameo by Hrithik Roshan, as shown in the trailer. It is set to hit theatres on July 3.
