Sanju Samson opened the innings for Chennai Super Kings in their fourth match of IPL 2026 and played an unbeaten knock of 115 runs. During his stay at the crease against Delhi Capitals at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Saturday, April 11, he hammered 15 fours and four sixes. Samson, who won the Player of the Tournament award in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, needed 52 runs to reach the 100-run mark.
The century by Samson for CSK against Delhi Capitals helped him become the second batter in the world after KL Rahul to score an IPL 100 for three different teams. Before scoring his maiden IPL century for CSK on April 11, Samson scored one IPL century for Delhi Capitals in 2017 and two centuries for Rajasthan Royals.
