India have announced the squad for the Perth Test against Australia Women to be played at the WACA from 6th to 9th March, 2026.
The new squad sees seven players dropped: Shubha Satheesh, Saika Ishaque, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Pooja Vastrakar, Arundhati Reddy, Meghna Singh, and Priya Punia. Six new faces in Amanjot Kaur, Pratika Rawal, Harleen Deol, Kranti Gaud, Vaishnavi Sharma, and Sayali Satghare have been added in their place.
Among them, Vaishnavi is the youngest at 20, continuing her rise from last year’s Under-19 World Cup. Rawal being named would come as a big boost for the team, for she has been recovering from the serious injury suffered during her excellent campaign in the 2025 Women’s World Cup.

Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that all-rounder G Kamalini has been ruled out of India’s Australia tour, and the selectors have named Uma Chetry as her replacement in the T20I and ODI squads. Earlier, Kamalini had been ruled out of IPL 2026, though neither the Mumbai Indians (they roped in Vaishnavi) nor the BCCI has specified the exact nature of her injury.
