Popular YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav has shared a video on social media, breaking his silence on NGO scam allegations against him. For the unversed, Elvish posted a video on Friday
asking his followers to help a family whose child suffers from Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) and required a costly Rs. 9 crore injection from the US for treatment. A day after this, Munawar Faruqui shared video messages on his Instagram stories, alleging that certain NGOs pay celebrities and influencers to use emotional appeals for collecting donations. Although he didn’t name Elvish, many interpreted his comments as a critique of the YouTuber. Now, Elvish has posted a video, denying NGO scam allegations, stating that he never takes money to help anyone.
Elvish Yadav Reacts To NGO Scam Allegations
On Saturday, Elvish Yadav took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a video message addressing the allegations. He said, “Main har jagah dekh raha hu Elvish ne toh scam kar diya, paisa le liya. Sabse pehli baat, main kisiki help ke paise nahi leta. Agar wo mereko paise de rahe hain toh unko help ki kya need hai? (I’m seeing this everywhere that people are saying Elvish has done a scam and taken money. First of all, I don’t take money for helping anyone. If they’re giving me money, then what need do they have for help?)”. He further added that his close friend requested Elvish’s help for the child, and he questioned how he could ever ask a friend for money in return for promoting a cause meant to help a sick child.

Elvish said that no one will ask for money in this case, especially to a friend. He then addressed scam allegations, stating that the donation campaign was fully transparent. He mentioned that the NGO’s details, barcode, and fund tracking are visible to the public. Elvish also said that this is not a scam as he has seen the child’s medical papers, doctors’ names and hospital documentation, which appeared genuine. Elvish further said that he doesn’t believe in doing scams and that God has given him a lot.
“Yaar hadd hai bhai. Logon ko bahaana chahiye ki kaise neecha dikhaya jaaye. Apne kaam dhande pe dhyaan do (Honestly, this is ridiculous. People just look for excuses to pull others down. Focus on your own work and business),” said Elvish.
What Did Munawar Faruqui Say?
On Friday, Munawar Faruqui took to his Instagram stories to share that a company had approached him to promote a fundraising campaign for a child. He criticized such promotions, and said, “Hamare fees bohot zyada hai, and they were willing to pay.’ Pehle toh hum aise promotion karne hi nahi chahiye. I was taken aback. Ki dost, yeh kaisa kaam ho raha hai? Ho sakta hai asal ho ya na ho, lekin ilaaj ke baad ka paisa kahan chale jaega?” (Our fees are quite steep, and they were willing to cover them. To begin with, we don’t engage in this type of promotion at all. I was astonished. What type of business is this? It might be real or not, but where will the funds raised post-treatment end up?)”.
While Munawar did not name Elvish, the timing of his stories led many netizens to wonder whether he was criticizing Elvish’s appeal.
