Star Manchester United goalkeeper Senne Lammens has said that the 1-1 draw against Leeds United on Sunday, January 4, was one of the most hostile games during his time at the club, adding that it was unfortunate
that United couldn’t win that game.
Speaking to the club’s media team, Lammens said that the 1-1 draw at Elland Road was an enjoyable experience and an important learning moment in his career.
Lammens added that the team put in a strong performance and felt they deserved to come away with all three points.
“It was quite hostile [at Leeds], to be honest. So it was also a special game, just too bad we could not come away with the three points. It was a really nice game to play in and a good experience for me, as well, to get into those games,” Lammens said.

“I think, if you can get your performance in and just stay the same way as you did, like playing at home, I think it is a good lesson to learn as a young goalkeeper. And, if you know you can do it, then you can do it almost everywhere,” Lammens said.
Leeds United played out a 1-1 draw with Manchester United at Elland Road earlier this month. US midfielder Brenden Aaronson opened the scoring just after the hour, before Matheus Cunha equalised within three minutes.
The two teams managed just five shots on target between them, with Manchester United enjoying 56% possession. It also proved to be Ruben Amorim’s final match in charge, as he was sacked the following day.
Meanwhile, interim boss Michael Carrick has requested his Manchester United footballers to stay grounded despite brilliant victories over Manchester City and Arsenal, as they prepare to face Fulham on Sunday, February 1.
