Living in Bengaluru and Delhi for several years gave one couple a chance to compare the two cities based on their own experiences. From food and music to safety, traffic and air quality, they found things they liked and missed in both places.
Vancha and Saksham, who spent four years in Bengaluru and six years in Delhi, shared their comparison on Instagram. While they said they enjoy their life in Bengaluru and do not plan to move, they also said Delhi will always have a special place in their hearts.
Food And Safety Stand Out For The Couple
The couple started with food. Saksham spoke about Bengaluru favourites such as “Podi idli, masala dosas, and filter coffee…”
Vancha, however, said there was one Delhi favourite she still missed. “But, man, Delhi-style
butter chicken and garlic naan is missing!” she said.
Safety was another major difference for Vancha. Based on her own experience, she said Bengaluru made her feel more comfortable going out at night. “Bangalore wins all the points in safety. I feel completely safe here, whereas in Delhi, it was scary to step out after 9 PM,” she said.
The couple also spoke about music. Saksham mentioned his wife’s love for Hindi and Punjabi songs, saying, “And for my Bollywood-loving wife, Hindi songs and Punjabi mixes…” Vancha replied, “Missing! It’s actually missing!”
Delhi Gets Praise For Its Metro And Social Life
Traffic did not give either city a clear advantage. Saksham said, “In traffic, both cities are the same, but Delhi’s metro connectivity is top-class.”
Vancha also remembered meeting people unexpectedly while travelling around Delhi. “And bumping into random friends at Rajiv Chowk is something else!” she said.
Bengaluru, meanwhile, got praise for its greenery and surroundings. Saksham said, “But here we are surrounded by South Indian hills…”
Vancha added, “An AQI of 30!” The couple then said, “…and so much greenery!”

The comparison led viewers to share their own preferences. One person wrote, “Delhi food is on another level.” Another said, “Safety makes a huge difference.”
