New Delhi, May 8 (PTI) As many as 21 joint secretaries have been appointed in key government departments as part of a senior-level bureaucratic reshuffle effected by the Centre on Friday.
M Ramachandrudu, a 2009 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Bihar cadre, has been appointed as joint secretary in the home ministry, a personnel ministry order said.
Senior IAS officers Vijay Namdeorao Zade and Prakash Rajpurohit have been named joint secretaries in the Department of Defence Production.
Amit Kumar has been appointed as joint secretary, Department of Commerce, Shiv Pal Singh as joint secretary, Ministry of Cooperation, and Neha Bansal will be additional director general (records management), National Archives of India, the order
said.
Senior bureaucrats Amit Agarwal and Palka Sahni have been appointed as joint secretaries in the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, it said.
Jayasree M G has been appointed joint secretary in the Department of Rural Development, S Sasikumar as joint secretary in the same department, and Sandeep Rewaji Rathod as joint secretary in the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, the order said. PTI AKV RHL
