Prime Minister Narendra Modi will host a dinner on Thursday for all NDA Members of Parliament at his official residence in New Delhi. This will be the first major gathering of the alliance after the Bihar
victory. The dinner was originally planned for the previous Parliament session but was cancelled due to the Punjab floods.
Sources say several senior ministers are involved in organising the event, ensuring maximum attendance. MPs are expected to travel together from Parliament, most likely in a bus or shared transport.
Senior ministers have also been assigned coordination duties with MPs from their respective states. For instance, Dharmendra Pradhan and Sukanto Majumdar are handling arrangements for MPs from Odisha and Bengal, while Kiren Rijiju is overseeing coordination with MPs from the Northeast.
Around 54 tables have been arranged for the dinner, each seating eight MPs from across alliance partners along with BJP MPs. A Union Minister is also expected to be seated at each table. The Prime Minister is expected to spend some time at each table.
Earlier this week, NDA MPs were briefed by the Prime Minister on the government’s roadmap, especially its focus on public welfare. More guidance is expected during the dinner meeting.
Ahead of the new session and after the 2024 elections, PM Modi has reiterated his long-term vision of building a welfare-oriented nation by 2047. Having been elected for a third consecutive term, this is the first time he is heading a coalition government.
