Sonakshi Sinha Slams Air India Over 6-Hour Flight Delay, Later Removes Post

Sonakshi Sinha briefly took to social media to express her frustration over a delayed flight with national carrier Air India, but later removed the post.

On Tuesday (December 16), Sinha shared an Instagram story from the airport detailing that her early morning flight had been postponed multiple times. She explained that she had arrived at the airport at 4 am to board a 5 am flight, which was subsequently delayed until 11 am without explanation.

“Absolutely HATE you @airindia. Been at the airport since 4 am to catch a 5 am flight which has been pushed to 11 am hour by hour for NO DAMN REASON. National carrier it seems. Do better,” she wrote, alongside a photo taken at the airport. The actress deleted the story shortly after posting it. While she did

not provide a reason for removing the post, screenshots of the story began circulating online.

At the time of reporting, Air India has not responded publicly to Sinha’s remarks.

Sonakshi Sinha has had a prominent career in Hindi cinema since making her acting debut in the 2010 action film Dabangg, for which she won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. Over the years, she has appeared in popular films such as Rowdy Rathore (2012), Son of Sardaar (2012), Dabangg 2 (2012), Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty (2014), and Mission Mangal (2019). She also received critical acclaim for her performance in the period drama Lootera (2013).

In recent years, Sinha has transitioned to digital platforms, earning praise for her roles in the Amazon Prime thriller series Dahaad (2023) and the Netflix period drama Heeramandi (2024), winning a Filmfare OTT Award for the former. Beyond acting, she is a well-known celebrity endorser and has also explored singing and television judging, including on shows like Nach Baliye (2017).

On the personal front, Sonakshi married actor Zaheer Iqbal in a civil ceremony on June 23, 2024, in Mumbai, followed by a grand wedding reception. The couple frequently shares moments from their relationship on social media.
