If you are planning your weekend in Bengaluru, you may want to check your power backup first. Several parts of the city are set to experience scheduled electricity outages as maintenance work will be carried out by the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) and the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM).
The planned shutdowns will affect areas across east, north and west Bengaluru on Saturday and Sunday. Officials stated that the outages are necessary to carry out essential infrastructure maintenance. Power interruptions are expected to last between 9 am and 6 pm depending on the location.
Authorities have advised residents to make necessary arrangements in advance. Citizens facing emergencies during the outage period
can contact the BESCOM helpline at 1912.
