Facebook, Instagram face outage as users report access issues

Delhi, Jul 19 (PTI) Users of Meta-owned social media platforms Facebook and Instagram on Sunday complained of facing a problem in logging into their accounts in several parts of the globe, including India.

According to Downdetector, which tracks outages by aggregating user-submitted problem reports, the complaints peaked around the afternoon and eased after a couple of hours.

Some Facebook users received the message “Account Temporarily Unavailable. Your account is currently unavailable due to a site issue. We expect this to be resolved shortly. Please try again in a few minutes”.

Some users also reported facing issues in accessing their accounts on Instagram.
