Bhubaneswar, Sep 1 (PTI) Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is scheduled to undertake a four-day visit to the UAE from September 8 to attract foreign direct investments in the state, a minister said on Tuesday.
Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain said the CM will lead a delegation to the West Asian country and is scheduled to participate in a series of programmes, like one-to-one meetings with potential investors, roadshows and roundtable discussions.
During the four-day tour, Majhi will explore possibilities to bring investment to the state with a focus on FDI and apprise industrialists of the prevailing investor-friendly environment in the state, the minister said.
Swain noted that Odisha has received a foreign direct investment of
Rs 1.08 lakh crore from a UAE-based company in recent times and expressed confidence that more foreign investments will come to the state in future.
Replying to a question, the minister said, “Global investors will be informed about opportunities and sector-specific prospects available in Odisha. We seek investments across sectors.” PTI AAM BDC
