Elvish Yadav has called out Pranit More for supporting a problematic and misogynistic joke made by an audience member at his recent show. Web developer Himanshu Jangra, during a show in Gurugram, claimed that after spending Rs 370 on chicken biryani for a woman, he expected a “return” on that investment in the form of physical intimacy.
He further said that when the woman asked him to drop her home after the meal, he was surprised, adding, “Maine kaha ki Rs 370 lage hain to use to wasool to karunga hi.” Pranit More, instead of calling out the man, supported his joke by laughing along and even sharing his clip on his social media account.
₹370 ki biryani ne do cheezein expose kar di:
Ek aadmi ko laga consent ka MRP hota hai.Aur ek comedian ko laga
har uncomfortable silence ko laughter track se bachaya ja sakta hai.
Biryani toh dum pe bani thi, controversy ego pe🥹

Elvish Yadav took to his X account and wrote, “₹370 ki biryani ne do cheezein expose kar di:
Ek aadmi ko laga consent ka MRP hota hai. Aur ek comedian ko laga har uncomfortable silence ko laughter track se bachaya ja sakta hai. Biryani toh dum pe bani thi, controversy ego pe🥹.” Pranit’s clip and Himanshu’s statement are getting severe backlash for promoting rape culture.
Kusha Kapila also shared a series of videos on Instagram, arguing that accountability does not stop with the person making the remark. She said, “But jo mere audience ke views hain, wo mere views nahin hai? Ho sakte hain agar aap usko clip karke uski reel daalenge. Uss par editor ne kaam kiya hai, us par yeh socha gaya hai ki usko 90 second ki clip kaise banayi jaaye.”
She continued, “Jab sab hai, to aap kaise keh sakte hain ki aapke views reflect nahin hote hain? Agar aap un views ko badhava de rahe hain, shabashi de rahe hain, to wo to aapke bhi views hain.” Kusha also argued that content creators have a responsibility to call out harmful behaviour instead of amplifying it.
As criticism mounted, Himanshu issued an apology, deactivated his social media account and was later reportedly terminated by his Gurugram-based employer.
