Ikkis Box Office Day 2: Agastya Nanda Film Dips After Opening, Crosses Rs 10 Crore

Sriram Raghavan’s war drama Ikkis, the first theatrical release of 2026, has witnessed a slight slowdown at the box office on its second day. Despite the dip, the film has managed to cross the ₹10 crore mark within two days of its release, maintaining a respectable early run.

Starring Agastya Nanda in the lead role alongside Jaideep Ahlawat and Simar Bhatia, Ikkis also features Dharmendra in what is being remembered as his final screen appearance. The film opened to positive reviews and surprised trade analysts with a better-than-expected performance on its opening day.

According to the latest figures reported by Sacnilk, Ikkis earned ₹3.50 crore on its second day at the box office. This marks a dip compared to its day 1 collection of ₹7 crore.

With this, the film’s total collection now stands at ₹10.50 crore after two days.

While the decline was expected following a strong opening, the film’s overall performance is being seen as steady, especially considering the competition it faces from established titles currently running in theatres.

Ikkis is facing stiff box office competition from Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar, which continues its dream run even in its fifth week. On its 29th day, Dhurandhar collected ₹6.63 crore, taking its massive total to ₹745.63 crore. The strong hold of Dhurandhar has inevitably impacted footfalls for newer releases, including Ikkis.

About Ikkis and Critical Reception

Ikkis is inspired by the extraordinary life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, India’s youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra. Set during the 1971 Indo-Pak War, the film traces Arun’s journey from his early days of military training to the battlefield, highlighting his bravery, sense of duty and ultimate sacrifice at the age of just 21.
Agastya Nanda essays the role of Khetarpal, while Dharmendra appears as his father in what marks his final performance on screen. The legendary actor passed away a little over a month before the film’s release, adding a poignant emotional layer to the narrative.

Directed by Sriram Raghavan and produced by Maddock Films, Ikkis has also received strong critical acclaim. News18 rated the film 4 out of 5 stars, praising Dharmendra’s impactful presence.
