Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu visited Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan at his Jubilee Hills residence in Hyderabad on Saturday evening to check on his recovery following a recent surgery. During the visit, Pawan Kalyan shared updates about his health, explaining the circumstances that led to the procedure. A statement on X from the official handle of the Deputy CMO, Andhra Pradesh, detailed the meeting between Pawan Kalyan and N. Chandrababu Naidu, where Kalyan discussed his recovery.
Pawan Kalyan Shares Details Of His Surgery
Pawan Kalyan revealed that what he initially thought was routine sinus discomfort had worsened over time. The infection spread, affecting his eye, which eventually required surgical intervention, and he underwent a Functional Endoscopic Sinus
Surgery (FESS). Although some nasal bleeding persisted after the surgery, Pawan Kalyan assured that doctors had told him it would resolve in a week or so. The surgery took place on April 18 in Hyderabad, and he was advised to take seven to ten days of rest before resuming official duties.
Pawan Kalyan To Undergo Another Surgery?
Apart from this, Pawan Kalyan also shared a long-standing health issue related to past injuries sustained during action scenes in his films. These injuries, which were not treated properly at the time, are now causing discomfort. He explained that shoulder injuries, including a rotator cuff injury, have been troubling him. Doctors stated that due to the lack of consistent medical attention during that time, the issue has worsened, and treatment, possibly including surgery, may be required.
Meanwhile, responding to the health update, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu urged Pawan Kalyan to prioritize his recovery and follow the doctors’ instructions. He stressed the importance of rest and wished for a full recovery.
Pawan Kalyan’s Recent Surgery
Actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan, who currently serves as the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, underwent a surgical procedure on April 18. According to a statement from the Jana Sena Party, he had been dealing with health issues for a few months before the situation escalated during an official meeting.
Detailing the sequence of events, the party said, “Janasena Party Chief, Hon’ble Deputy CM Sri Pawan Kalyan underwent surgery on Saturday evening. While discussing administrative matters with his officials on Friday morning, he experienced severe discomfort. He has been facing health-related issues for the past few months. Following the advice of his personal physicians, he cancelled Friday’s official engagements and visited the hospital.”
Medical teams reportedly conducted several tests, including an MRI scan, before deciding that surgery was necessary. The procedure was carried out the same day.
