More About People We Meet On Vacation
Directed by Brett Haley from a screenplay by Yulin Kuang and Amos Vernon & Nunzio Randazzo, based on the 2021 novel of the same name by Emily Henry, it features Poppy Wright as a New York City-based travel writer for R+R and Alex Nilsen as her former best friend.
Since Poppy has lately been unhappy with her job, she RSVPs yes to an upcoming wedding in Barcelona to reconnect with Alex. But she lies to him that her company sent her to Barcelona for work upon their chance meeting at the airport.
The film is a nod to the notion that two completely different people, meant for each other, can indeed find their way to be together. Over the course of their summer vacations together, Alex, an English teacher at a small-town local school, meets a free-spirited Poppy, and what happens next is a complete adventure.
