Aamir Khan, who recently celebrated 25 years of his cult classic Lagaan, has been making headlines after confirming that he plans to marry his longtime partner, Gauri Spratt. The lovebirds are all set to tie the knot on July 5 in Mumbai. After introducing Gauri to the media on his 60th birthday, Aamir has now spoken about their upcoming wedding. The actor revealed that the couple is planning a private and understated ceremony, surrounded by only their nearest and dearest.
During a conversation with Deccan Chronicle, Aamir Khan opened up about his third marriage and revealed that the ceremony would be a private affair. The actor shared that he and Gauri Spratt are planning a simple registered wedding at home. He said, “It will be a very simple registered marriage at home,
with just both the families and really close friends. We both want to keep it very basic.”
While Aamir has shared that the wedding will be a close-knit affair, it remains unclear whether some of his closest friends from the film industry, including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and other Bollywood colleagues, will be among the guests.
Earlier, while talking to Variety India, Aamir confirmed his wedding plans. He said, “I’m currently traveling in the US. The news about the marriage is true. It’s on July 5.” Meanwhile, the Dangal actor spoke about his relationship in 2025 at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit and said that he feels lucky to have Gauri in his life. He shared, “She brings a lot of calm, steadiness. She’s a really amazing person, and I am so fortunate and lucky to have met her. I am very fortunate that while my marriages didn’t work, I am still very happy to have met Reena, Kiran and now Gauri in my life. They have contributed to me as a person in a very big way and I look up to them in many ways.”
Aamir was earlier married to Reena Dutta, with whom he has two kids, Ira and Junaid Khan. However, they parted ways amicably. Later, he got married to Kiran Rao, and after 16 years of marriage, they announced separation. The duo still continues to co-parent their son, Azad.
