Kids surprise us with their innocence and a recent video proves just that. A little girl has been winning hearts for doing something no one expected. In the clip, she is seen brushing the teeth of a buffalo
calf and the moment is both funny and sweet. The video shows the child trying her best to clean the calf’s teeth, even though the task looks bigger than her.
Throughout the process, the animal remained calm, almost like the animal understood what the girl was trying to do and clearly enjoyed a free spa session. The child, on the other hand, is fully focused as she holds the brush tightly and keeps brushing. The video left viewers laughing and amazed at the girl’s innocence and care.
Little Girl Steals Hearts With Buffalo Dental Care
Although the exact location is not known, it looks like shot in a rural part of India. In the original clip, shared on Instagram, the little girl is identified as Mannat. As she brushes the buffalo calf’s teeth, she can be heard talking to herself, saying random and funny things that make the moment even more entertaining. At one point, she struggles to pull the brush out of the calf’s mouth, but after a little effort, she manages to remove it and continues brushing the other side.
Reacting to the post, a user, referring to the classic Colgate ad, asked, “Does your toothpaste have salt in it?”
Another shared, “Gentle dental clinic.”
“It’s me in childhood,” a comment read.
An individual stated, “As a dentist, this is the best thing I watched today.”
Another mentioned, “The poor animal must be thinking what is happening to me today.”
One more added, “Big responsibility at a young age.”
Experts Explain Why Animals Don’t Need To Brush Their Teeth
Peter Kertesz, a dental expert for zoos and wildlife centres, explained to IFL Science why animals do not need to brush their teeth like humans. He said that tooth decay is mainly caused by diet rather than brushing. Humans eat many processed foods, which lead to dental problems. In contrast, wild animals usually eat natural items, so their teeth stay healthy without brushing.
Animals can still get tooth problems if they eat foods that are not natural for them. For example, Kertész once saw rock hyraxes eating a lot of fruit, which is not normal. This caused severe tooth decay, infections and it affected their major organs. He shared that an animal’s diet should match what they naturally eat, because their teeth and overall health depend on it.
