Mumbai, Aug 12 (PTI) Regional carrier Star Air on Wednesday said it is planning to launch direct flight services between Ahmedabad and Mundra (Kutch), starting August 17, as part of the route network plan.
The new services will be operated on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with early morning departures from Ahmedabad and evening returns from Mundra, Star Air said.
The schedule is designed to maximise productivity and flexibility for business leaders, professionals, and families, it added.
The new route, which forges a vital air bridge between the country’s two most influential economic centres, is expected to deliver far-reaching benefits, not only for Gujarat but for India’s wider economic and logistics network, the airline said.
By easing access
for key industries, supporting time-sensitive business operations, and enabling faster movement of people and goods, this direct connection will help drive national growth and competitiveness, it added.
“The direct Ahmedabad-Mundra service is a strategic link between two of India’s most dynamic economic engines. By making travel faster and more convenient, we’re supporting the ambitions of businesses, entrepreneurs, and communities across the country,” said Shilpa Bhatia, Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer at Star Air.
Currently, Star Air operates a fleet of eight Embraer E175s and is looking to expand the fleet to 25 aircraft over the next 36 months, the airline added. PTI IAS TRB TRB
