Kathmandu, Aug 28 (PTI) Nepal Prime Minister Balendra Shah and members of his cabinet will donate a month’s salary to the disaster relief fund following the devastating flash floods in the country that left over 500 people dead.
The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting on Friday, The Kathmandu Post reported.
The cabinet also directed the finance ministry to prepare a relief, concessional financing and rehabilitation package for individuals and businesses affected by flash floods which swept through Rasuwa and other parts of central Nepal on Wednesday.
Over 500 people were killed in Nepal and Tibet due to the disaster, which caused widespread damage to settlements, roads, bridges and hydropower infrastructure.
