Double Olympic medallist PV Sindhu clinched her second title of the season, beating Denmark’s world No. 25 Line Hojmark Kjærsfeldt in straight games to win the Hylo Open Super 500 tournament in Saarbrücken on Sunday, November 1.
The former world champion, who won the Japan Open in July before finishing runner-up at the French Open last week, showed her control and precision to dominate Denmark’s eighth seed Line, cruising to a 21-12, 21-14 win in the 39-minute final of the USD 500,000 event.
Sindhu thus grabbed 9200 ranking points to stay on track for the season-ending World Tour Finals.
Second seed Sindhu entered the final with a commanding 6-1 head-to-head record against her Danish opponent, whose only win against the Indian came at the 2025
Sudirman Cup Finals.

Sindhu will give next week’s Korea Open a miss.
Sindhu made a confident start with a sharp cross-court winner, but two unforced errors allowed the Dane to keep pace at 3-all.
Line looked to prolong the rallies, but Sindhu’s deceptive strokes and sharp net play helped her build an 8-5 lead. A delicate net shot, a smash directed at the Dane’s body and another net error from her opponent saw Sindhu carry a three-point advantage into the interval.
Sindhu held on to her advantage at 14-11 with a well-judged push from the backcourt before unleashing a brilliant backhand winner to extend her lead to 17-12.
A wayward net shot from Line brought Sindhu within two points of sealing the opening game. The Indian then bagged eight game points and converted the first to take the game.
Sindhu maintained her dominance in the second game, taking a 4-2 lead after the change of ends before stretching the gap to 6-3 with a flurry of well-placed winners into the open court.
