The two, who exchanged rings earlier this year, confirmed their separation in an Instagram post, saying the decision was mutual and that they had realised their goals for the future were different.

Akriti announced her separation from Prithvi Shaw through a heartfelt statement on Instagram. “With a heavy heart, I would like to share that my fiancé and I have decided to part ways due to different goals and circumstances for our future,” she wrote and then stated that she and her fiancé had decided to part ways because of “different goals and circumstances” for their future.
Along with announcing the breakup, Akriti appealed to people to respect their privacy during what she described as a difficult time. She specifically requested that people refrain from speculating or making assumptions about the reasons behind their decision.
