An Indian employee working in Poland has gone viral for shedding light on the diverse benefits offered in corporate roles, emphasising that pay is only one part of the package.
The individual, identified as Anirudh Sharma, posted a video on Instagram detailing his experience as a banking professional and outlining the workplace culture he has encountered.
In the video, he said, “Hi everyone, my name is Anirudh, and I work as a banking professional in Poland. Today I want to talk about the benefits that come with professional roles here beyond just salary.”
Sharma explained that one of the most noticeable advantages is the structure of the workday. According to him, his schedule typically runs from 8 am to 4 pm, allowing for significant personal
time after work hours.
He also pointed to the availability of hybrid work arrangements, noting that employees can often work from home for two to three days each week, which contributes to a healthier work-life balance.
He further highlighted compensation policies, stating that employees are generally paid double for working on public holidays, while overtime is compensated at one-and-a-half times the base salary.
Beyond pay and schedules, Sharma spoke about employee welfare measures commonly seen in organisations. He noted that sick leave is usually compensated at around 80 per cent of pay, with some companies offering full pay during such periods.
He added that employers frequently organise initiatives aimed at promoting well-being, including outdoor activities, team outings and structured wellness programmes.
Additional perks, he said, may include access to multisport cards that cover gym memberships, swimming and other fitness options. Some workplaces also provide meals such as breakfast.
In terms of leave, employees are typically entitled to between 20 and 26 days of paid annual vacation, depending on their experience, with certain organisations requiring staff to take a continuous two-week break.
Sharma also mentioned that companies may offer a few additional optional leave days for personal pursuits or social activities, and in some cases, employees are given a half-day off ahead of public holidays.
Discussing family-oriented policies, he said parental leave can extend up to 52 weeks, supported jointly by employers and the government. He also observed that the work environment tends to be more relaxed during the summer months.
“One of the best parts is that you usually only need to inform your manager before taking leave rather than asking for formal permission,” he added.
The clip, shared with the caption, “Benefits of working in corporate companies in Poland”, has attracted widespread attention on social media.
Reacting to the video, one user wrote, “This is so cool”, while another said, “Wow, this is different from my office in India.” Another user commented, “This is so good,”, and another added, “You know this is amazing.”
