Who Is Goldy Brar?
Satinderjeet Singh, also known as Goldy Brar, is alleged to be the key conspirator in the murder of popular Punjabi singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, widely known as Sidhu Moosewala, who was shot dead in broad daylight in Punjab’s Mansa district in May 2022.
Brar is alleged to have coordinated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang to carry out the killing, reportedly to avenge the murder of Youth Akali leader Vicky Middukhera in 2021. Brar later allegedly claimed responsibility for the crime through a social media post.
A native of Sri Muktsar Sahib, Brar moved to Canada in 2017 on a student visa and is accused of operating extortion and contract killing networks from abroad. In May 2023, Canadian police placed him 15th on their “Top 25 Wanted” list. He has also been named as an accused in the killing of Youth Congress leader Gurlal Singh Bhullar alias Pehalwan.
