The Afghanistan opening duo of Seqiqullah Atal and Abdul Malik played out four overs after their team was bowled out for 152 in the first session. The visitors trail India by 39 runs.
Debutant Manav Suthar was the standout bowler for India, ending with sixes wickets for 33 runs in 22 overs.
