Celina Jaitly and Peter Haag’s divorce proceedings have been quite publicised, and while the actress often pens social media notes sharing her side of the story, a new development suggests that her estranged husband has now sent multiple legal notices accusing her of defaming him. As per HT, Mumbai-based law firm Semwal & Co. has confirmed that two separate legal notices have been issued to Celina amid the ongoing dispute.
One notice has been sent by Peter Haag’s father, while another has been sent by Peter himself, accusing Celina Jaitly of circulating false, defamatory, misleading, and sensationalised statements against him through various interviews, social media posts, and media interactions.
The notices state that the family chose to stay
silent for a long time in the hope of not making the matter public. However, despite the issue being sub judice, Celina has been making public statements against them, forcing them to seek legal help. The family has strongly denied all allegations, including claims of domestic violence, emotional abuse, harassment, intimidation, hiding the children, brainwashing them, and issues related to religion or radicalisation. According to the legal notices, the family believes these public accusations have harmed their reputation.
The notice also states that issues involving children should be handled privately and with care.
About Celina Jaitly’s side
For the unversed, in November 2025, Celina filed a case against Peter, accusing him of domestic violence, cruelty, and manipulation. She sought ₹50 crore and other sums in compensation. The case is currently in court. Celina Jaitly has been away from films for over a decade. She was last seen in a lead role in the 2011 romantic comedy Thank You.
On this Mother’s Day, Celina took to her Instagram and revealed that she is currently unable to meet or communicate with her children. She also opened up about her pain and separation from her kids.
In her post, she shared, “My children have been moved to an undisclosed location and are being brainwashed and radicalised against their own mother and her faith in Hinduism by my husband and his father. Two weeks ago, during my divorce hearings in Austria, I stood outside my own home… broken… remembering the love, devotion, sacrifices, and unconditional care with which I raised my family. Despite undertakings before the court, my children were not brought back. The only child I got to hold… was my departed angel, Shamsher.”
