A three-year-old boy suffered serious injuries after falling from the first floor of a building in Maharashtra’s Nashik. The incident, which was caught on CCTV, happened in the city’s Sahdev Nagar area
on Gangapur Road.
The child, identified as Shriraj Amol Shinde, was reportedly playing inside his home when the accident occurred.
As seen in the CCTV video, the child climbed onto the wall of the terrace/balcony of his home while attempting to call out to his friends.
He could then be seen bending over the railing, and within moments, he lost his balance and fell to the ground.
The fall caused a severe injury to his head.
Neighbours rushed to the scene immediately after hearing the commotion, and the child was quickly taken to a private hospital in Nashik for treatment, where he was admitted with serious head injuries and is currently under observation.
In a separate incident, three children died, and two others suffered injuries when the car in which they were returning home from school fell into a pond at Uluberia in West Bengal’s Howrah district on Monday afternoon.
The accident took place near Bohira Chowrasta at Uluberia around 3.30 pm.
The deceased children were identified as Ishika Mondal (7), Arin De (9), and Saubhik Das (11).
