Soon after the film went live, social media was flooded with complaints and sharp criticism. Fans alleged that despite receiving an ‘A’ certificate, Dhurandhar was heavily censored for its OTT release. Fans accused the streaming platform of muting dialogues, censoring foul language, and trimming nearly 10 minutes from the original cut. Many expressed disappointment, stating that they had expected an uncensored version post its theatrical run, while others questioned the rationale behind such restrictions on an 18+ streaming platform.

Fans Call Out Makers For Censored Release

One of them on X wrote, “A big letdown from you people @NetflixIndia. Why the hell would you censor it when everyone is expecting an uncensored version !! Censoring an A-rated film itself is a joke, whereas Animal and Kabir Singh have no cuts.” Another fan said, “Uncensored nhi hai…OTT per bhi censorship laga rakhi hai.”

You’re just stealing the natural raw vibe from it.” While someone wrote, “Why have you trimmed 10 minutes?”

Dhurandhar– Plot And Cast

Dhurandhar, a spy action thriller directed by Aditya Dhar, was released in December 2025. The film stars Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan and Arjun Rampal. The film follows a secret operation directed by India’s Intelligence Bureau Chief Ajay Sanyal (R Madhavan) to dismantle a terror network operating out of Pakistan. The plot revolves around Hamza (Ranveer Singh), a mysterious Indian agent who embeds himself deep within Karachi’s underworld network to acquire intelligence and bring down terror operations from within. The film was inspired by true events such as the IC-814 hijacking and the 2001 Parliament attack.
