About the trailer
The trailer picks up exactly where the first film left off — with Aashish (Ajay Devgn) and Ayesha (Rakul Preet Singh) still navigating their complicated age-gap relationship. In the new film, Aashish must now face an even tougher challenge: winning over Ayesha’s family. The two arrive at her parents’ home, played by R Madhavan and Gautami Kapoor, who try hard to appear open-minded — until they realise that Aashish is almost the same age as Ayesha’s father. What follows is a mix of awkward humour, emotional moments, and the return of Aashish’s best friend, played by Jaaved Jaaferi, trying to keep things from completely falling apart.
Adding to the chaos is Meezaan Jafri’s character — planted by Ayesha’s family as a potential match for her. What ensues is a battle of love, age, and approval, in true Luv Ranjan style.
The De De Pyaar De 2 trailer also pays tribute to Ajay Devgn’s classic moments in films — including his famous Phool Aur Kaante entry scene, where he balanced on two bikes, and his trademark Singham move of stepping out of a moving car with full swagger.
Arjun Kapoor’s work
On the work front, Arjun was last seen in the rom-com Mere Husband Ki Biwi opposite Bhumi Pednekar and Rakul Preet Singh. He has wrapped the Delhi schedule of his upcoming Mudassar Aziz directorial.
Arjun’s next appearance will be in No Entry 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the blockbuster comedy No Entry. Anees Bazmee directed the film, which also stars Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh. There has also been talk that Tamannaah Bhatia will join the cast as the female lead, however no official confirmation has been made. Boney Kapoor, Arjun’s father, is producing the film. Boney Kapoor recently expressed his displeasure at failing to keep the original cast of No Entry in its sequel, and now a fresh source has revealed a stunning reason for Salman Khan’s absence from the picture, as well as what caused Boney to hire a totally new star.
