Hyderabad News: A criminal case has been registered against an international passenger for allegedly assaulting and misbehaving with a cabin crew member aboard a Lufthansa flight from Frankfurt to Hyderabad. According to a report in The Times of India
, the incident took place during the airline’s LH752 service. It came to light after a complaint was lodged with the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) police.The alleged incident occurred on Friday aboard Lufthansa flight LH752, which departed Frankfurt at 1.32 pm Central European Time (5.02 pm IST) and landed in Hyderabad at around 1.15 am after an approximately eight-hour journey.
According to the complaint, 59-year-old German national and cabin crew member Peter Baucer was moving a service
trolley through the aircraft aisle when it accidentally brushed against the leg of a passenger who had stretched his leg into the passage.
Baucer alleged that despite apologising for the accidental contact, the passenger became aggressive and kicked him, causing an abrasion to his leg.
Police said the crew member attempted to calm the situation, but the passenger allegedly remained confrontational.
The complaint further stated that as the aircraft was preparing to land, Baucer asked the passenger to fold his tray table in line with standard safety procedures. The passenger allegedly refused to comply and responded by making an obscene hand gesture.
The accused has been identified as Satish Kumar. RGIA police registered a case against him under Sections 131 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (assault or use of criminal force otherwise than on grave and sudden provocation) and 296 (obscene acts and songs).
Although the alleged incident took place on Friday, the complaint was formally lodged with RGIA police on Monday, and details of the case emerged publicly on Wednesday.
Investigators said they have contacted the accused and directed him to appear before the investigating officer as part of the inquiry.
According to police, the accused is a senior citizen and has sought additional time to visit the police station. Further investigation into the case is underway.
