India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir was seen fuming as Arshdeep Singh bowled a whopping seven wides in an over, during South Africa’s innings in the second T20I in Mullanpur on Thursday. It was an off-day
for Arshdeep as he conceded 54 runs in his four overs.
In the 11th over of South Africa’s innings, Arshdeep ended up sending down not one, not two, but seven wides in a single over.
With a well-set Quinton de Kock on strike,
Arshdeep tried to nail wide yorkers but missed his mark, sending down six wides outside off and one down the leg side.Gambhir looked furious as Arshdeep’s over stretched to 13 balls. Watch the video here:
No matter the situation, abusing a youngster is never justified. Shame on Gautam Gambhir for his actions towards Arshdeep Singh pic.twitter.com/05Ie1q4auy

Arshdeep gave away 18 runs in the over.
Meanwhile, De Kock made an effortless 90 of 46 deliveries, firing South Africa to a challenging 213/4 in the second T20I against India in Mullanpur on Thursday.
When De Kock is in full flow, he is one of the most pleasing batters to watch and he showed that class on a true pitch. He was launching sixes for fun in the middle overs, with most of his seven maximums soaring over deep square leg.
De Kock, who came out of ODI retirement and was uncertain about his T20 future after the 2024 World Cup, is back with renewed focus and in top form. A knock like this, just days before the mini auction, is bound to spark interest and could trigger a bidding war for the versatile star.
It was a no-brainer that India decided to put South Africa in to bat after winning a rare toss.
Arshdeep, who had De Kock caught behind in the series opener, was at the receiving end on Thursday.
