Chandigarh, Apr 22 (PT) The maximum temperature settled above normal in several parts of Haryana on Wednesday, with Narnaul being the hottest place at 42.5 degrees Celsius, the meteorological office here said. The maximum temperature in Narnaul was over three degrees above normal. Hisar recorded a maximum temperature of 41.2 degrees Celsius, Karnal 40.6 degrees Celsius, Rohtak 42.2 degrees Celsius, Gurugram 39.2 degrees Celsius, Ambala 40.3 degrees Celsius and Sirsa 41.6 degrees Celsius. Neighbouring Punjab also witnessed above-normal temperatures.
Bathinda recorded a maximum temperature of 41 degrees Celsius. Ludhiana recorded a high of 40 degrees Celsius, and Patiala 40.4 degrees Celsius.
In Amritsar, the mercury settled at a high of 39 degrees
Celsius.
Chandigarh, the common capital of Haryana and Punjab, also braved the heat as the maximum temperature settled at 39.3 degrees Celsius. PTI SUN MPL MPL
