Sunrisers Hyderabad welcome the Kolkata Knight Riders to the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad for the IPL 2025 encounter between the sides on Sunday. SRH, who have momentum on their side, look to extend their impressive run and climb further up the table.
SRH are currently on a five-match winning streak and, with six wins from nine matches overall, they sit comfortably in third place.
KKR, in contrast, have had a difficult campaign but will come into this game with renewed belief after consecutive victories, even though they remain near the bottom in eighth position.
Having already defeated KKR once this season, SRH will be high on confidence. Even so, KKR’s recent upturn in form means the three-time champions cannot be underestimated
despite their overall struggles.
Travis Head
The dashing Australian opener put up some much needed runs this season with his half-century against Mumbai Indians as the southpaw helps his side go past the finish line with wickets and deliveries left to spare. His knock at the top of the chase was crucial for the batting order that followed to make light of the 200 plus chase.
Heinrich Klaasen
The South African batter has been incredibly consistent this season with multiple half-centuries and game-saving stands in there middle of the order irrespective of the showing of the top-order batters. He has provided solidity in the middle along with Nitish Kumar Reddy and will look to extend his run.
Salil Arora
The youngster has been giving good accounts of himself every time he has stepped out to bat, and his burgeoning talent was visible against MI as he took star pacer Jasprit Bumrah to the cleaners to put the finishing touches on the game.
Rinku Singh
The southpaw has carried the three-time champions to two wins on the bounce with his quality, unbeaten half-centuries against RR and LSG to help KKR salvage some pride from an otherwise woeful season. He’d look to continue his golden touch and make it three in a row for the side from West Bengal.
Varun Chakravarthy
The wicrafty spinner, who has been a menace with the leather in hand over the past few years, also had to endure initial struggles in the tournament before picking up a couple of wickets and living up to his vast potential in the game against GT and bagged a three-fer against RR in their win. He continued his resurgence with a couple of wickets in winning cause against LSG and will look for more of the same vs SRH.
Cameron Green
The Aussie, who had struggled to find for early in the tournament on the back of his blockbuster purchase at the auction table for a whopping sum, seems to have found some touch on the back of his half-century against Gujarat Titans, which ultimately went in vain. Green, who has chipped in with sizeable contribution since in his showings against RR and LSG and will look to continue in the same manner.
