Amitabh Bachchan Invests Rs 6.6 Crore in Alibaug, Buys 3 New Plots | Details Inside

Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan has added three more plots to his collection in Alibaug, a popular town near Mumbai. The actor, known for his long and successful career, continues to invest in real estate

in areas that are peaceful and close to the city.

Property details of Big B’s new plots

According to registration records accessed by CRE Matrix, the newly acquired plots, numbered 96, 97, and 98, together cover 9,557 square feet. All three properties were registered on October 7, with Bachchan paying a stamp duty of Rs 39.58 lakh.

Plot 96, the largest of the three, spans 4,047 square feet and carries an agreement value of Rs 2.78 crore. Plot 97 measures 2,776 square feet and was purchased for Rs 1.92 crore, while Plot 98 covers 2,734 square feet, acquired at Rs 1.88 crore. The properties were sold by HOABL Landbuild Pvt. Ltd.

This acquisition marks a continuation of Bachchan’s investments in Alibaug. In April 2024, he had purchased a 10,000-square-foot plot in the same area for Rs 10 crore from HoABL, further consolidating his presence in the coastal town.

Other real estate ventures

Beyond Alibaug, Amitabh Bachchan has also invested in Ayodhya, including multiple plots in the city in recent years. Among them is a 5,372-square-foot property acquired ahead of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple inauguration. Additionally, he holds a 54,000-square-foot plot registered under the trust of his father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, which is reportedly intended for a memorial.

Recently, Kartik Aaryan acquired 2,000 sq. ft. plot in Chateau de Alibaug for Rs 2 crore, followed by Kriti Sanon purchasing a 2,000 sq. ft. plot at Sol de Alibaug. Other celebrities with properties in Alibaug include Shah Rukh Khan (Deja Vu Farms), Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma (Serene Haven), Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, Anaita Shroff Adajania (with husband Homi Adajania), Suhana Khan, and Rahul Khanna. Alibaug’s proximity to Mumbai, natural beauty, and privacy make it a popular choice for celebrities to own holiday homes.
