Manish Malhotra’s first-ever feature film, Gustaakh Ishq, under his production house Stage 5, saw an array of friends from Bollywood attend the premiere in Mumbai.
The Fatima Sana Shaikh and Vijay Varma-starrer
film directed by Vibhu Puri saw celebrities including Rekha, Kajol, Janhvi Kapoor, Disha Patani, Mouni Roy, Genelia, and Riteish Deshmukh, among others, attend the grand premiere.
And when it’s a Manish Malhotra soiree, everyone comes dressed in their best! Manish Malhotra looked dapper in black. The couturier and now producer donned a velvet blazer, which was further enhanced with his iconic animal brooches.

From Rekha to Fatima Sana Shaikh, the saree had its moment at the screening. While Rekha opted for a traditional saree, but styled it with a contemporary long jacket, Fatima draped a sheer, Chantilly lace saree – a vision in ivory. Kajol too opted for a black saree with an embroidered border and a blouse with lace detailing.

Janhvi Kapoor wore the archival YSL velvet jacket from 1989, paired it with pants. She was last styled in that jacket at Cannes 2025 for the Amfar gala. Styled by Rhea Kapoor at Cannes, Janhvi paired it with a custom Anamika Khanna diaphanous silk chiffon skirt inspired by Yves’ poetic era between 1987 and 1991. At the Gustaakh Ishq premiere, Janhvi looked at ease in the ensemble and was also seen interacting with Manish Malhotra at the screening.

Disha Patani made a bold entrance in a Little Black Dress designed by Saisha Shinde. The bodycon dress was designed with a deep neckline and featured embellished shimmery detailing on the back. Thus adding sparkle to the monochrome look.
Every style, every look realised in black paid an ode to Manish Malhotra’s favourite colour.
The Gustaakh Ishq screening was attended by an array of celebrities, including Karan Johar, Shanaya Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor, Bhavana Pandey, Tusshar Kapoor, Ramesh Taurani, Zoya Akhtar, Shabana Azmi, Neha Dhupia, Manoj Bajpayee, Ankita Lonkhande, Meezaan Jaaferi, Shriya Saran, Taha Shah Badussha, Ronit Roy, and Rohit Saraf, among others.
Starring Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Varma, and Fatima Sana Shaikh, Gustaakh Ishq marks a new chapter in Manish Malhotra’s creative journey. Directed by Vibhu Puri, with music by Vishal Bhardwaj and lyrics by Gulzar, Gustaakh Ishq was released on November 28, 2025.
