TCS iON has expressed “deep regret” over power failures at an examination centre in Jaipur during the NEET-PG 2026 and AIIMS Common Recruitment Exam (AIIMS CRE), saying expert teams were working to resolve the issue urgently.
The company said the disruption at the iDZ Sitapura centre was caused by “unknown local electrical issues” and that measures were being taken to prevent a repeat of the incident.
What TCS iON Said
In a statement posted on its official X handle, TCS iON said the NEET-PG 2026 examination was successfully conducted for more than 2.63 lakh candidates across 1,111 centres across the country on Sunday.
On Monday, the AIIMS CRE was conducted for more than 21,000 candidates across 58 centres.
However, the iDZ Sitapura centre in Jaipur experienced internal
power failures during both examinations.
“During both these exams, a single centre, the iDZ Sitapura centre in Jaipur, Rajasthan, experienced internal power failures over both days, due to unknown local electrical issues,” the company said.
TCS iON said the expert team from the vendors responsible for electrical maintenance was working to fix the problem “urgently”.
It added that “all possible measures” were being put in place to avoid a recurrence of such issues in the future.
‘Deeply Regret The Inconvenience’
TCS iON expressed regret to candidates affected by the disruption.
“We deeply regret the inconvenience this has caused to the candidates undertaking the NEET-PG 2026 exam and AIIMS CRE at the centre,” the company said.
The technology unit said it was working with the respective authorities to ensure that candidates were able to complete their examinations at the earliest.

NEET-PG Retest On September 5
Power disruptions had affected the NEET-PG 2026 examination at two iON Digital Zone centres in Jaipur on Sunday, August 30.
Following the disruption, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), which conducted the examination, scheduled a retest for September 5.
NBEMS has also called an immediate meeting to decide the course of action against the technological partner and the agency responsible for ensuring adequate infrastructure at examination centres, officials said, according to PTI.
NBEMS Forms Three-Member Panel
NBEMS has also constituted a three-member committee to examine the Jaipur power failure, ANI reported.
The panel has been formed under the chairpersonship of Gayatri Rathore, principal secretary, health and family welfare department of the Rajasthan government.
According to sources cited by ANI, the committee will examine the circumstances leading to the power supply failure and determine the reasons behind the disruption.
The panel includes a senior state government official, a joint secretary-level officer from the Health Ministry and a senior engineering official from the Central Electricity Authority.
The probe comes as TCS iON works with its vendor teams and the authorities to address the power-related problems at the affected examination centre and ensure candidates can complete their examinations at the earliest.
