Neelam graced the runway in a mesmerising black saree adorned with intricate floral motifs in shades of maroon and gold. The design exuded an air of luxury and cultural depth, with its finely detailed pallu and a striking maroon border. The look was elevated with a plain full-sleeve blouse, which balanced sophistication with simplicity, allowing the rich craftsmanship of the saree to take center stage.
Her choice of accessories was equally refined—elegant jhumkas and a statement Meenakari ring that added a touch of ethnic glamour. With her soft open curls, minimalistic makeup and smokey eyes, Neelam radiated poise and elegance, leaving the audience enchanted by her effortless grace.
A Touching Tribute to Zubeen Garg: Music Meets Weave
The show began with a moving homage to the late Assamese legend, Zubeen Garg, whose musical legacy continues to resonate deeply across India. Sanjukta Dutta’s opening saree, handwoven with his portrait and lyrics from one of his iconic songs captured the essence of art meeting emotion. The piece stood as a symbol of love, memory and creative tribute, blending textile craftsmanship with musical legacy in a way that was both poignant and visually arresting.

Sanjukta Dutta’s latest collection, titled Gadhuli – The Twilight, cast a spell on the audience with its deep storytelling and visual poetry. Inspired by the serene beauty of twilight, the collection celebrated the transitional magic between day and night, interpreted through a palette of blacks, maroons and golds—colours that evoke mystery, strength and timeless femininity.
Rooted in the traditional aesthetics of Assam, Dutta’s line reimagined the classic mekhela chador, blending it seamlessly with modern silhouettes like anarkalis, dhotis, skirts and sarees. Each piece was a testament to the artistry of handwoven textiles, adorned with delicate motifs that spoke of heritage, resilience and grace.
